Dave Culpin is a Technical Fellow with Raytheon Australia and is currently the Technical Director for the Space and Mission Systems portfolio of programs. Culpin’s key skills and interests lie in the fields of enterprise/systems architecture, engineering management, systems engineering (including MBSE), cybersecurity, system safety engineering, and technical assurance. He has extensive experience in utilising these skills in the domain of complex military systems, including applications in space, surface combatant/submarine combat systems, communications, electronic warfare, and aviation mission systems over a 30+ year professional career in the RAAF, DSTO, and defence industry. Culpin holds a master’s in Systems Engineering, a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronic Systems), and is currently conducting research for a Doctor of Philosophy at UniSA, focused on establishing and maintaining the cyberworthiness of ground-based space systems. Culpin is also an Engineering Fellow with IEAUST and a Raytheon Certified Architect.
